The hospital has two operating theatres equipped with the most up-to-date clinical and non-clinical equipment. Surgery is conducted under intravenous sedation, general and local anaesthesia. Most wards are low level and easy to access for those with mobility problems.

Driving assessment and rehabilitation supplied to clients with a disability, or following an illness or injury that could impact on their driving capacity. The service provides advice, assessment, rehabilitation and training programs. Comprehensive Occupational Therapy driving assessments are available if indicated and can include the need for special adaptations to motor vehicles.
Clients are assessed at Dickson Health Centre on Tuesdays 1.00-5.00pm at the Canberra Hospital on Thursdays 9.00am - 2.00pm, Phillip Health Centre on Fridays, 1.00pm - 5.00pm. Each assessment takes one and a half to two hrs where a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist and Medical Registrar specialising in Aged Care, assess the clients risk of falling and reduce the incidence of re-falling and injury.

Fully equipped 80 bed specialist rehabilitation facility providing outpatient, day rehab and inpatient programs. Day rehab programs include: spine care, orthopaedic, cardiac, amputee, neurological, musculoskeletal and lymphoedema. Inpatient rehab is available for persons who are medically fragile and need the support of a medical facility and nursing care.

The CAN program of the Richmond Fellowship provides a range of support and accommodation options to people with mental illness who wish to live in the community. The manner of support is negotiated with each client with emphasis on peoples strength. Our approach encourages recovery and wellbeing. Accommodation with a rehabilitation focus is available in a number of group homes. Residents are expected to participate in activities which aim to prepare them for independent living. Support is also available to people who live in their own accommodation but need some assistance to maintain or improve their quality of life in the community. Counselling to families is available, free of charge.

Supported employment service for people living with an intellectual disability.
This program provides the opportunity and resources for older people who are to be discharged from hospital to regain confidence in daily living skills. The aim is to promote and achieve maximum independence. The program provides care and low intensity Therapy in a 15 bed unit and the person's own home. Clients can be admitted to the unit which will provide 24 hour care and support; or have support come to the home or have a combination of both options. The program is designed to provide care for up to 12 weeks if necessary.

Rehabilitation referrals are received from employers, insurers or treating doctors to assist in complex cases either before or after an injury occurs. Occupational rehabilitation is the process of returning injured workers to suitable employment. Accredited Rehabilitation Providers are organisations accredited by relevant Governing bodies such as WorkCover and Comcare, to offer specialised services to aide injured workers in their return to work.
