Day Care Centre for the Frail Aged and Younger people with a disability.
KU Starting Points Macarthur is an educational support program for families who have a young child with a disability and/or developmental delay. The program includes integrated support and play sessions, an early intervention pre-school operating on Tues and Wed, home visits, family mornings and fathers groups. Staff consists of early childhood special educators, psychologist, councillor, speech pathologist, untrained workers, volunteers and administration support.
Provides medical service, information, support and advocacy for Aboriginal people. Specific services include: general practioners & a female doctor once a week; women's health nurse; immunisation clinic; paediatrician; visiting Ears, Nose & Throat specialist; dental services; hearing services; diabetes; mental health; eye clinic; transportation; counselling specifically drug and alcohol issues and victims of domestic violence.
The Aboriginal Health Education Officer provides education programs, cultural awareness talks and advocacy and mediation services, liaison between indigenous & non indigenous communities.
The Aboriginal/Islander Liaison Officer assists ATSI clients to complete forms for the appropriate benefits that are available.

The Parents & Babies Unit provides effective, practical support and strategies that enable mothers and fathers to confidently manage the challenge of early parenting. As parenting issues involve the whole family, partners or significant support persons are encouraged and welcome to attend. SERVICES PROVIDED: the unit can provide assistance and practical help with parenting issues such as: understanding your baby's behaviour, feeding management (including breast feeding or bottle feeding), introduction of solids and weaning, settling your baby, sleeping patterns, crying & unsettled behaviour, adjusting difficulties, parential fatigue, postnatal stress, uncertainty with your parenting role, postnatal depression & anxiety, relationship support. ADDITIONAL SERVICES: A parent help line is available between 9am and 4.30pm for parenting information, postnatal depression support groups, parenting education sessions, visiting psychiatrist, access available to an interpreter

Unable to offer services that are provided by other HACC programs. Services are provided by volunteers and can be a home visit to have a chat and a coffee or may take client out shopping or to appointments.
