Avalon Luncheon Club

Luncheon Club provides a 2 course hot meal for people who like to share a meal with others. It operates every Friday and costs $7.50 per meal (glass of wine or juice, bread roll, hot dinner, desert, and tea or coffee). Transport may be available at a nominal fee for those unable to use public transport.

Wheels to Meals - Wyong Shire Food Services Inc. - Bateau Bay Community Restaurant

The Community Restaurant offers morning tea, hot lunch, dessert and tea/coffee plus social activities. The Community Restaurant is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-1.30pm. Transport can be arranged to take patrons from their home to the restaurant, and return home in the afternoon.

DUBBO

Meals on Wheels Dubbo Inc.

Provides a complete meal service to the frail aged, younger disabled and their carers. Hot meals are delivered to people within Dubbo city 6 days per week (an extra meal is delivered on Saturday for Sunday). Frozen meals are delivered on Tuesdays and Fridays. They can also be delivered fortnightly or monthly or picked up from the Meals on Wheels office. Shopping services are available if requested. Meals out of the home are provided at special Meals on Wheels morning teas and lunches. Cooking lessons, assistance with preparing ingredients for meals and microwave hire are other services available.

GUNDAGAI

Gundagai Food Services

Gundagai Food Services delivers a hot lunch-time meal to the home or a frozen meal which can be heated later. Community Restaurant for centre-based meals is also held on the first Sunday of each month. Centre-based meals are also offered after Wednesday Social Group meeting at 12.30pm.

Gundagai Neighbour Aid / Social Support Service

Gundagai Neighbourhood Centre has volunteers who carry out home visits and may provide assistance with activities like shopping, transport and minor garden and home maintenance. Laundry vouchers are also available. A Social Support Group is held on Wednesdays from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Morning tea, physical and craft activities are provided and occassionally guest speakers. This group is followed by a centre-based lunch at 12.30pm at a cost of $5 for clients who wish to stay. Once a month the group members are taken on a full day bus trip. Group usually does not meet during school holidays.

HENTY

Meals on Wheels (MOW) - Henty

Henty Meals on Wheels has two meal suppliers providing hot meals Monday to Friday and one supplying frozen meal packages including main, dessert and soup for $7. The Hostel provides a main meal only $5, dessert $1-50, soup $1 and juice 50c. Special dietary requirements can be catered for. Centre based meals are available Tuesday and Friday at the community centre for $5. Frozen meals are available delivered weekly or can be collected from the office. The service also provides information and referral to other services.

KATOOMBA

St Hildas Anglican Church Katoomba

Church providing pastoral care and spiritual direction, youth activities and family support. Provides breakfast to the congregation on the first Sunday of each month. Cafe Manna happens on the first friday of each term at 6pm. A large three course meal is provided for a suggested donation of $10 that goes to TEAR fund.

Georges River Community Service - Neighbour Aid

Neighbour Aid provides: shopping, banking or account paying; home visiting once a week for those who live alone or can't leave the home; social outings for the frail aged on the third Tuesday of each month and 1st Friday of each month; friendship luncheons on the second and fourth Monday including transport by bus; a monthly social outing for Arabic speaking people; a weekly Thursday drop in social group for people with mental health issues; dementia monitoring including shopping, meal preparation, visiting and assistance with medication; low level home maintenance including cleaning of fridge, oven, windows and venetian blinds, curtain maintenance, gutter and yard clearing and gardening and lawn mowing; information referral and advocacy;

MT DRUITT

Centre Based Meal Day Program - Blacktown

Centre Based meal program and social get together Wednesday for people living in the Mt Druitt and Riverstone Regions. Mon Wed Fri. Friday is visually impaired, Wednesday is frail aged.
