Easy Access Australia is a travel guide for people with a disability or mobility difficulty, and is also a good general guide to Australia. It is written by Bruce Cameron (who has a complete c5/6 spinal injury and uses a wheelchair), and aims to meet the needs of travelers with a disability. EAA is not a directory or alphabetic listing. It is a complete travel guide for anyone with some mobility limitation including: wheelchair users, amputees, seniors who have had heart trouble or arthritis or even a hip, knee or ankle operation. The guide has even been used by families looking for easy access for prams and pushers.

Casuarina Library

Special facilities now available to people with disabilities including modified computers, specifically designed for people with visual impairment and other disabilities as well as seniors with limited dexterity. Close circuit TV book magnifier available which magnifies by 600%.

Fitness Unlimited - Heartstarter Program

'Heartstarter' is a circuit aerobic exercise class, for seniors wishing to be active. Cost includes morning tea after the class. A bus can be arranged to collect and drop off clients - bookings essential.

Peak body for senior territorians; protecting and promoting the well being of Territorians aged 50 years and over and Indigenous Territorians aged 45 years and over; service to non english speaking people that need help communicating to health providers. Peer eduaction programs for quality use of medicine, falls prevention, sleep managment and beyond maturity blues.

Darwin Public Library

Library offers a theatrette for public hire, PC's for public use and a housebound service for temporary or permanently housebound people. Library is fully accessible. Nardia Safar is the disability support advisor and can help persons with disabilities to access library facilities.

Darwin Senior Citizens Inc

Seniors are eligible for membership. Access and toilet available for people with a disability. Meetings are held first Thursday of the month. Contact the president for a list of activities. People encouraged to drop in during opening hours - billiard table, small library, TV. Tea making facilities available for gold coin donation.

For men only - they have morning tea and discuss world issues and current affairs. This is a friendly group and usually has around 10 men per meeting.
