Assists people with a disability and their carers to overcome social isolation. A volunteer meets up with the person (usually fortnightly) and offers friendship, company and sometimes transport. Some volunteers visit people in their homes, while others meet out in the community and do things together, like shopping, going to the cinema, etc.
