Information available on mammograms, contraception, osteoporosis, ,hormone therapy, menopause, reproductive & gynaecological issues, health promotion and education (one to one or group) counselling, referrals to service provider or GP. MWHS holds clinics in centres across the Fraser Coast & Bundaberg districts, Office based in Maryborough. The MWHS can assist and support all women through the provision of culturally appropriate information, support, clinical services and the promotion of health lifestyles. The MWHS works with both individuals and groups to provide a number of services. These may include but are not limited to: Pap Smear, Breast Care, Osteoporosis, Sexual health screening, Health promotion and education on a range of topics inc Puberty, Family planning, Menopause & Hormone replacement, Nutrition, Weight and stress management. The service is free and confidential, and is available to all women withing the areas covered by each MWHS. The MWHS visits over 200 rural & remote communities in Qld to provide clinics and other services on a regular basis.

Toowoomba access is at Breast Screen Clinic TBH Mobile health program for women in rural and remote areas of the Darling Downs. Staff includes womens health nurse. Also assists in arranging access to various allied health services by referring on. Mainly do cervical screening, education and health promotion.

This service provides supported accommodation in Cairns for pregnant women who live in rural and remote Cape and Gulf communities where there are no maternity health services. FEES: Referred clients are government funded, referral from Community Clinics. Non-referred clients pay daily fee. Children funded for Medical Costs.

Breastscreen Queensland Gold Coast Service For asymptomatic women without any signs and symptoms of breast cancer. Screening, Assessment, Diagnosis, Mammogram. Women aged 50-69 years are especially encouraged to attend every 2 years for a breastscreen. Women aged 40 years and over are also eligible. Also located at Treetops Plaza Shopping Centre Burleigh and mobile unit.

BreastScreen Queensland is a statewide program that provides free, high quality breast cancer screening services for women over 40. BreastScreen at Chermside is an assessment centre and screening centre. Satellite services also available at Brisbane City, Indooroopilly and Redcliffe as well as a mobile service. Breastscreening involves taking a x-ray of the breasts and supporting tissue. It is done by specially trained radiographers who will explain the test to clients before examination.
